Roblox Corporation (NYSE: RBLX) has released its Q2 2021 financial results with a letter to shareholders on its investor relations site. The company reported a 127% YoY revenue growth to $454.1 million with a net loss of $140.1 million.
Roblox reported bookings of $665.5 million in Q2
Bookings during the quarter were up 35% YoY to $665.5 million, and the company reported net cash from operating activities of $191.2 million, a 64% YoY increase. The platform continues to add more users, and in Q2 2021, average Daily Active Users were up 29% YoY to 43.2 million, driven by 46% growth in DAUs above 13 years and 42% DAUs growth outside Canada/US. Engagement hours also increased 13% to 9.7 billion, with the average booking per daily active user being $15.41.
In July, the company saw a 28% YoY increase o DAUs and an 8% increase in QoQ to 46.6 million. Bookings in July ranged from $221 million to $224 million, a 19-21% YoY increase and 10-11% sequential month increase. Revenue in July was up 111-113%, up from $161 million to $163 million.

Roblox acquires Guilded Inc. to connect gaming communities
The company has announced the purchase of a privately held firm, Guilded Inc., focused on developing a platform that can connect gaming communities. Baszucki said, “The Guilded team has a clear passion for empowering communities. They have a great team and technology, and we’re very excited to help them continue on their path.”
The Guilded team has established a robust platform to engage gaming communities since its introduction in 2017, featuring features and tools including tiered video chat, voice chat, scheduling tools, integrated calendars, and more. In addition, the business announced its bot API in March 2021 to make bot building easier for people with little or no experience in programming.
