Tim Sykes built a strategy around what happens after the market closes for the weekend.

While Wall Street is away, contract announcements, FDA approvals, buyout rumors, and other news can continue hitting smaller companies before traders can react Monday. 

Sykes calls his approach the “Weekend Gap,” and says this week’s setup begins forming before Friday’s 4 PM Eastern close.
